El Ritmo
Well, it's been 10 days since my first track went live on my website and as a complete novice to all of this I have found it really interesting. When I had the idea for the piano riff as a student back in 1998 that's all it was and I had no idea that 13 years later it would take on more of a dance vibe, and no idea that we would have such a high tech way to share music. But that's the beauty of writing music I guess - or the way I write anway - you start somewhere and go in the direction the music seems to want you to go and hope that you end up with something half decent.
The aim of having the website was to me like having a filing cabinet or book shelf that anyone can dip into and have a browse around rather than having it shelved in some dark, dusty corner where no one would be interested or be able to have a nose around. As a compser and musician I really want to be able to share what I do to make it come to life. It's a leap of faith because not everyone will like what I do but hopefully others will and get something out of listening to these pieces. Which is why it's so amazing to see how many people have listened to El Ritmo (which means 'The Rhythm' in Spanish) and a huge thanks to those of you that have.

Solace
I hope to release my next track in a couple of days which is just solo piano and couldn't be more different to El Ritmo.
